Rubbing a dolphin’s tail

I heard it loud in my head before I ever saw anything.  Will you massage my tail? There’s only a stub left.  I continued swimming up the water estuaries near the ocean. The moment I put my head under the waters, I heard the dolphin‘s whistle, and within seconds felt the tail gently touching my back.  I turned around and the dolphin was there balancing quietly in the waves.  The dolphin communicated mentally to me to please massage his tail and that it had been sliced off from an encounter with a boat’s propeller.  Instead of a big broad beautiful fluke of a tail that a dolphin and mermaid normally possess, I carefully held the remains of a small stub of a tail in my hands and started massaging it.  It was an honor to do this. To try and comfort where a human had possibly harmed.
