Feeling connected, isn’t that what we all what on some level? Being connected to something bigger than ourselves. Often the motivating factors to joining a church, drinking @ clubs, playing team sports, attending music festivals, or having sex – the making love connection! Not that I thought about doing all of them this morning (well, maybe acouple of the things mentioned), yet something came over me while making “breakie” – in the bowl went Organic bio-dynamic yogurt from Jalna Farm, Australia, Fair trade organic virgin coconut oil from Vanuatu, South Pacific Islands, Organic blueberries from Omaha, New Zealand, Wild organic cinnamon from East New Britain Province, Papua New Guinea, Non-sprayed apricots from a local farmer in French’s Forest, Australia, Tamari Roasted Almonds from Victoria, Australia, and I’m drinking Fair trade organic unsmoked yerba matte tea from Posadas-Missiones, Argentina. I blab on about the details of these ingredients because that’s the efforts of the people who were involved with just my breakfast alone, not to mention those peeps who helped in the delivering process so I could purchase and enjoy this bowl of delight. Each bite took on a surreal meaning this morning, like I had the farmers and workers from those countries sitting with me on the veranda. Wow, if you’ve ever felt alone, or wake up feeling a bit disconnected to everything around you – here’s the chance not to – the “breakie concept“. Take a peek at where the foods you’re eating came from… maybe it will give you a laugh, maybe you’ll get to experience a part of their world for a mini-second, even if it’s fleeting, the energy is still there.
Try it, you’ll like it – reminds me of “Mikey with that Life cereal ad back in the 70’s”… he eats everything”. Maybe we are connected to everything… or atleast breakie!
